My first site of the bears. Not a good photo I know… too busy trying to see them!

Another "first sighting" resulting in a poor photo. They congregate around the bottom corner as they can see when people come past. "People" often means food.

I believe this guy is the biggest or 2nd biggest in the sanctuary… around 400kg

One of the new bears to the sanctuary…

Having a bit of a look around… I’d estimate him to be about 2m tall or so.

He stayed like this for a couple of minutes…

Tough life as a bear… I *think* this is the only non-brown bear at the sanctuary.

A common task – take the packaged up meat and strip off any plastic, covering etc and put the meat into the red trays. The bears love it!

Vegetarians need not apply…
|
The meat is often about to go out of date or has just gone out of date, and therefore can’t be sold. The bears don’t seem to mind!

This area has a number of bigger and stronger bears in it.

This guy is huge and rules the roost.
